6 Week Mom and Baby Session - March 24th - April 1st
*Up to two make up credits {April 5th-8th} are the current make up dates, or another timeslot during the 6 weeks}
* Pricing is plus hst
- 6 Classes $108 (1x per week)
- 12 classes $194 (2x per week)
- 18 Classes $269 (3x per week)
By purchasing a 6/12 class pass, you are committing to the same time each day/week. Please make any arrangements if you need to switch a class time, this can be done based on class availability. Email us if you have any questions about this.
Let’s break it down. What is included?
This program is dedicated time to focus on strengthening your body, connecting with your baby and engaging in a supportive community.
What’s included in the Mama and Baby MVMNT Program?
Weekly in-person classes
These classes will take place in London every week. It can seem daunting as a new mom to commit to a time every week, I get it! Think of this as accountability, to take the time to get out with your babe, bond with other mamas and focus on YOU. A missed class can be made up during designated make up classes or considered used.Access to on demand Mama workouts.
Maybe you can’t make a class, want to get more movement in on the weekend or just want more mama MVMNT. These online workouts are quick and effective. Using limited equipment to get you moving!
YOU WILL NEED:
Water bottle
No equipment needed, we will have everything you’ll need!
Anything you may need for your little one (baby carrier, blanket, toys, snacks etc..)
WHERE WILL WE BE?
Old East Village, London - Spent together in the Align MVMNT Studio, 1010 Dundas St.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Mamas atleast 8 weeks postpartum. I HIGHLY recommend taking our Postpartum Foundations online program, or Mama Circle to prepare for these sessions. We prioritize functional strength, which means alignment, posture and pelvic floor function above all else. Another option would be to see a pelvic floor physio to get assessed about proper functionality before exercising.
** If you are closer to 6 weeks postpartum and looking to move your body, I welcome you to join us! A good test to tell if your physically ready would be to take daily 1 hour walks. If you can do so without pelvic floor dysfunction (leaking, urge to pee, heaviness, increased prolapse symptoms, joint pain etc..) You are probably OK to join, as long as your care provider agrees. This is a LOW impact class, with options to progress further or modify accordingly.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A CLASS?
We will have 2 stations set up with 4-6 exercises on either side of the Studio. This strength & cardio focused workout will be around 35 minutes, then moving to stationary core matwork and a cool down to end. The babies will be able to play around on a mat, or in a play pen provided.
If you prefer to drop in per class, instead of committing to the full 6 week program. This will only based on availability. Classes are capped at 8 Mamas plus instructor.
Solo Drop in classes will be $25 each and opened after the first week.
A few housekeeping notes for in person classes:
Dress yourself and baby in layers! The Studio is heated, but just enough to keep everyone warm as they come in.
Bring distraction methods for the little ones! Though we will try to keep at the mat and the provided toys, you never know when they will decide they’ve had enough. Once enrolled your welcome email will include a few of my suggestions for different age groups. However, you know your baby best!
Most importantly, this experience is so much more than just a workout. I know as a new mama, it can feel intimidating to bring the baby anywhere. Will they fuss? Will they get hungry? Will I need to change their diaper? I GOT YOU. Your baby’s well -being is the most important thing. If you need to stop and feed your baby, DO IT. If you need to stop and change their diaper, or tend to them because they are crying, DO IT. You will be supported either way.
